DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The City of Taneytown is accepting resumes for the position of Director of Economic Development.  Taneytown is a community of approximately 8,200 people.  Requirements for the position include a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration or Management or equivalent experience in municipal / business development.

The Director of Economic Development performs technical, administrative and support work that promotes advancement of the business and industrial community of Taneytown, promotes and supports recruitment, retention and expansion of business and industry in the City of Taneytown, administers and facilitates the Main Street Taneytown Program, maintains close contact with industry, business community and governmental leaders to foster the positive advantages of Taneytown as a place to live, play and do business

The salary range for this position is $45,907.00 to $69,439.00  per annum with the final salary subject to City Council approal.  The City of Taneytown officers a benefits package including Administrative, Liberal, vacation and sick leave, a healthcare package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, and enrollment in Maryland State Retirement System.  The position is classified as exempt with compensatory time.  Resumes and completed City applications may be mailed to Attn: City Manager 17 E.
