The Town of Centreville is seeking a Zoning Administrator to lead the Department of Planning and Zoning. As a Department Head, you will manage land use planning, zoning enforcement, and community development projects. This leadership role involves overseeing zoning regulations, streamlining permitting processes, and guiding long-term land use policies in collaboration with the Town Council, Planning Commission, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Department in zoning, planning, and enforcement activities.
Review development proposals and provide expert advice.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal land use codes.
Supervise staff and manage department budgets and projects.
Represent the Town at public hearings and facilitate community planning efforts.
Qualifications:
A professional degree in Community Planning, Urban Design, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in public sector land use planning and staff supervision.
Strong knowledge of zoning codes, environmental regulations, and land development principles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
