Seasonal Grounds Equipment Operator

The City of Westminster is seeking a seasonal Grounds Equipment Operator to assist in the general maintenance of our streets, parks, and public properties. 

Seasonal employees are employed between the months of August, 2025 - November, 2025.

An employee in this position will perform the completion of a variety of projects related to grounds maintenance work on City property including, but not limited to: 

• Riding and push mowers, trimmers, multipurpose machines, chainsaws, and any/other tools; 
• Hauls materials and trash and covers trash to be transported to disposal site, collects litter, refills dog waste pickup bags, empties dog waste baskets;
• Performs landscaping duties such as cutting and trimming grass, bushes, and trees on City property.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma GED;
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience operating all departmental equipment and vehicles, with basic mechanical skills; or equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.

Compensation and Schedule:

• $20.00 per hour
• Non-Exempt; Essential*
• 20 Hours per week; temporary employment.
• Not benefits eligible.
