Full-time position (35hours) with the Town of Preston.

Responsibilities to include:

  • All office clerk duties
  • Working with the Public, Public Works and various agencies and contractors
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Familiar with Town Charter/Ordinances/Resolutions/Codes
  • Receipt and disbursement of funds
  • Prepare and make bank deposits
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports
  • Invoice personal property and/or corporate taxes
  • Utility billing of quarterly water/sewer bills
  • Issue, process, and inspect: Building Permits, Special Event Permits, Business Licenses, Rental Licenses and Code Enforcement duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Secretarial experience
  • QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook experience
  • Typing skills
  • Ability to work independently
