What You’ll Do:

Oversee critical infrastructure projects that improve everyday life for Aberdeen residents

Lead our essential services (Water, Wastewater, Streets, Environmental, Maintenance) into the future.

Drive smart city initiatives

Lead a talented team and foster a culture of collaboration and growth

Use data and technology to improve efficiency

Partner with community leaders to design projects that matter

Who We’re Looking For:

Leadership skills and vision over prior title.  Director experience is not required.

Visionary leader with a passion for public service

Interest in Local Government and working with Elected Officials

Confident in speaking to the public and engaging with residents

Strong background in civil engineering, urban planning, or related fields

Experience with Utility projects preferred

Skilled communicator who thrives in a collaborative setting

Ready to embrace innovation and sustainability

Education or experience in construction management, public administration, or related field.

Proven ability to fully engage in day-to-day operations as well as to step outside the box and think about the big picture.
