The City of Westminster is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our Information Technology team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys problem-solving, technology, and helping people.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for City employees needing technical help
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues
  • Set up computers, install software, and support phones, printers, and mobile devices
  • Track requests using a help desk ticketing system and escalate when needed
  • Assist with user accounts, passwords, and basic network administration
  • Train and support users so they feel confident using their technology

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience with computers or IT support (school, internships, or entry-level roles welcome)
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and common devices
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow your technical skills
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ is a plus—but not required
