Interim Town Administrator

The Town of University Park (located adjacent to College Park in Prince George’s County) seeks an experienced municipal manager for the position of Interim Town Administrator. The 2,454 population Town is fully residential, yet the effects of nearby development create issues for the community. The Town is focused on the installation of traffic control measures to mitigate the impact of traffic in various neighborhoods. Other significant issues include a large scale storm water management project, and the design and upgrade of Town Hall.

The position involves support of the Mayor and Town Council including budget development and administration, grants acquisition and management, and effective communications with the community and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, as well as thorough knowledge and experience in town/city operations.

The Town has 29 employees and a FY26 Budget of $5.5 million. The salary range is $60 to $75 per hour. The position may last up to six months.
