The City of Cumberland will be accepting applications for a full-time position of Accounting Associate III in the Tax Utility Billing Office of the Department of Finance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree in business or related field and four or more years of progressively responsible administrative support experience including budget preparation, information dissemination, record-keeping and extensive interaction with the general public
CLASS SUMMARY: Oversees system information, cash management, calculations, distribution, posting and verification of financial data for use in maintaining tax, utility and parking authority accounting and statistical records. Maintains the accuracy and completeness of accounting records by ensuring that staff comply with organization accounting policies and procedures. Performs a variety of very complex accounting activities such as organizing the workflow and supervising tax and utility employees to ensure that work is completed in a timely and accurate manner as well as day -to-day operations of the utility billing/tax collections office (customer service, billing, collections, reconciling).

SALARY: $21.97 to $26.41 per hour. Actual salary is commensurate with education and experience.
