The Stormwater Management Division is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Senior Laborer. This role combines utilizing essential technical tasks with some leadership opportunities. Specific duties will include:

• Taking a leading role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of municipal stormwater drainage systems including catch basins, pipes, culverts, and
• Assuming supervisory duties and leading crew members on-site as
• Understanding and following specific instructions and
• Ability to perform heavy manual

Essential job functions will include, but not be limited to:

System Maintenance: Inspecting, clearing, and repairing stormwater structures, including drain inlets, manholes, channels, ditches, and detention basins.

Construction & Repair: Laying storm sewer pipe, pouring/finishing concrete for curbs and headwalls, and build retaining walls.

Crew Leadership: Providing direction, on-the-job training, and oversight to less experienced laborers. Acting as the crew supervisor when necessary.

Equipment Operation: Safely operating heavy and specialized machinery, such as dump trucks, backhoes, excavators, skid steers, and snow removal equipment]

Safety & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with traffic control standards (flagging)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma or GED
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and follow specific instructions
• Experience operating various landscaping

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience operating heavy construction
• Possession of a valid Class B

PAY RATE: $23.49 per hour
