The City of Cambridge is hiring for a Utilities Manager to run the day-to-day work of the Water Division in Public Works. This role covers supervising the team, keeping water and wastewater systems maintained and repaired, setting work plans and policies, handling purchasing and the division budget, and making sure everything stays safe and up to code. You’ll need a bachelor’s in civil or environmental engineering (or something similar), about four years of utilities management with three of those in a supervisor role, or a mix of school and experience combined, plus a valid driver’s license. The job includes physical work outdoors in all kinds of conditions, and you may be called in nights, weekends, holidays, or during emergencies.
